The wxwindows tex2rtf seems to work (occasionaly, sort-of). Well, at least it installed well & managed to convert 2 out of 5 docs. But in any case, I've decided to simply go back to Tex. Since I haven't used it in ages, I needed to get some tools. I asked Claudia for recommendations, and she pointed me to Claus Dethlefsen's "LaTeX, Emacs etc." page. Looks like Claus did a good job there.

One more step in running roundup, an open-source issue tracker. Got it to run, sort of. Now all I need is to get my mail server going...
(oh, and the nice boys from IS to open a port in the firewall)

What?

One of the things we're keen to have at WebLabs is automatic translation. I knew of google's translate service. Just learned there's also one called babelfish from good ol' AltaVists. Nice thing about that is that you can add

    <script language="JavaScript1.2" src="http://www.altavista.com/r?entr"></script>

to your page, and you have the service on it. Try it:

Ghosts from the past

My M.Sc. advisor, Jeff Rosenschein e-mailed me, suggesting we try to publish some of the work I did as journal papers. Wow! says I. Only problem is, back in those dark days, we used to write stuff in LaTeX. Now, what do a I do with a bunch of tex files?

Well, here's a couple of Tex2Rtf programs I found:

I'll post my impressions when I have any.
